In Guangzhou

Just a quick update. We made it to Guangzhou after an almost 9 hour ordeal. Our flight was delayed an hour then actually left an hour 20 minutes late. This was in an airport that was very poorly run and we had no idea what was going on or where we were supposed to be. We made it onto the plane and flew for an hour and 40 minutes to them wait another 50 minutes for our luggage to come out. We are just grateful to be in the hotel and settled.

We  have real concerns about how Gideon would do on the flight. He slept poorly again last night and woke up crying. That is not a good sign. He continued to cry most of the morning and at 1:00 pm I thought that maybe he needed Tylenol because he is getting a molar. I also remembered that he had been pulling at his ear. I gave him the Tylenol and magically 30 minutes later he was not crying anymore. Magic!  He was still fussy but not crying. We got to the airport and he started crying again and tried to get us to leave. He was not liking the airport at all. I prayed and prayed for him to be happy. After our long wait we got on the plane and he sat in the seat and did fantastic!  He was so good. One more miracle and testament that the Lord is watching out for us.

Ressa and Jason are here with us in Guangzhou. It is so good to be with them. I will post more tomorrow and put pictures but for now it's past my 8:00 bed time. :)

  2. I can't wait to meet Gideon! He is so beautiful and will fit into your family wonderfully. I love reading the daily updates. Thank you for taking the time to write. I cannot imagine the emotional roller coaster you must be on with such little sleep. The Lord will continue to provide all three of you with the strength and capacity to meet each challenge as they appear.
