"I'll have you in my heart"

This morning as Hyrum walked by me I pulled him into a big hug. We looked in each others eyes and I told him I was going to miss him while I was in China. Hyrum took my face in his hands and with the most tender look said. "I'll have you in my heart."

That little exchange eased some of the anxiety I feel as we embark on our newest journey.

We haven't made this very public yet but now is the time. On Saturday March 7th we fly to China to adopt our newest son. After Joel passed away we felt we still had a child in
China. There is much more to this story but because time is limited we will suffice it to say, we are headed back to China to pick up the next Walker.

Now we introduce Simon Shan Qiang Walker

Simon is 4 years old. He is from Chengdu, China and has the same heart issue as Gideon and Joel.
The doctor says that Simon is doing better than the other two boys and expects him to live until he is about 17 years old. At that point he will most likely need a transplant. We are hoping for this scenario but are also prepared for him to be with Gideon and Joel if that is what the Lord wants.

We are headed to China at 7:30 in the morning. We'll be updating our blog as much as possible. We're all excited to bring Simon home and help him become a Walker.
