How Do You Say This Without Sounding Old?

We are going to be GRANDPARENTS.  Ahhhhhhhh!  I can NOT be old enough for this!

OK, that is enough of the negative.  Now for the positive.  Sereen and Jared are having a baby.  Sereen is 8 weeks along and is due January 14.  She has the average morning sickness and hasn't thrown up yet.  She's not feeling overly tired either.  Hopefully things will continue in this pattern and there will be no abnormal issues only a healthy mom and baby.  I asked Jared if Sereen is emotional.  Sereen looked up in a state of thinking and Jared very quickly started laughing.  That told me right there how things are.  We women don't think much of the hightened state of emotions but our poor husband feel it.  Jared must be feeling it about now.

    OH MY GOODNESS!!! Congratulations!!!!!!!!! I am just bursting with excitement! Yay for Sereen and Jared and for you being Grandparents! This is so, so happy!

    HaaaaRay for them. Sereen and Jared are both very well prepared for parenthood. Can't wait to meet this new little addition.

    Man, your family is just bursting with blessings.
    We'll pray for more through this adoption process. Hope it all goes through smooth and quick.

Christmas Concert

Last night we had the opportunity to go see the Mormon Tabernacle Choir and Orchestra with Alfie Boe and Tom Brokaw. It was fantastic!!! Tyler and Jessica were honored to be dancers in it. I think I was the proudest Mama there. Doug and I just smiled the whole time they were on stage. One dance Jessica was right in front but we couldn't see Tyler. The Power of Love

We have been playing music for Casey in hopes of facilitating greater healing of his brain. We have read studies and heard stories of people that played classical music, specifically Beethoven's Symphony Number 9. Today I turned on the station and beautiful rendition played. It brought a greater peace and calm to the room. I pondered on my desire to one that can help heal through light and peace. A song came on that changed the vibration in my soul to a greater level.  (I don't know how to describe the feeling but listen and feel what is going on inside of you as you play different kinds of music. I'm not sure that I have ever put down in the blog our journey to adoption. With 9 adopted children and a story that started many years ago this could be a long post.
