Pierce is very dashing and talented; thank you for sharing this. I especially love it when a young man likes the piano. I wish my sons would have liked to play it. I do have one son that was good on the Trumpet and one that could sing; so I guess that is good. Blessings and hugs for you dear friend!
Last night we had the opportunity to go see the Mormon Tabernacle Choir and Orchestra with Alfie Boe and Tom Brokaw. It was fantastic!!! Tyler and Jessica were honored to be dancers in it. I think I was the proudest Mama there. Doug and I just smiled the whole time they were on stage. One dance Jessica was right in front but we couldn't see Tyler. That was fine we could watch Jessica the whole time without splitting our attention She is so graceful and beautiful. We sure love her. Then part way through the song a couple came out dressed in a gold gown and tails. They danced up and down the stairs reminiscent of Fred Astaire and Ginger Rogers. It didn't take long to notice it was Tyler. He was graceful. They danced beautifully! Seeing Alfie Boe perform was great. He has a beautiful voice and is very unassuming. After his first song he took a couple of minutes to speak. One thing he said was that being there was a dream come true. My heart almost burst for him. I knew that dre
We have been playing music for Casey in hopes of facilitating greater healing of his brain. We have read studies and heard stories of people that played classical music, specifically Beethoven's Symphony Number 9. Today I turned on the station and beautiful rendition played. It brought a greater peace and calm to the room. I pondered on my desire to one that can help heal through light and peace. A song came on that changed the vibration in my soul to a greater level. (I don't know how to describe the feeling but listen and feel what is going on inside of you as you play different kinds of music. It may take a few times but you will feel it.) I looked down to see what the song was. The title of the album was The Power of Love. A flood of thoughts came to my mind. The power of Christ's love heals all things. EVERYTHING! I looked at Casey and told him that it is through Jesus Christ and his atonement, which is pure love, he will be healed. I was filled with that love and a s
I'm not sure that I have ever put down in the blog our journey to adoption. With 9 adopted children and a story that started many years ago this could be a long post. I will try to give the most important information but I'm sure there will be holes left. If you would like to ask questions feel free to do so. If there is enough interest I will answer those questions in a separate post not just in the comments. If your questions are personal and you don't want to share you are welcome to email me and I promise I will get back to you! Our first experience with adoption was in the first year of our marriage. We were approached with the possibility of adopting 3 girls under the age of 10. I was still working but had the plans to be a stay at home mom. If we were to take the girls I would need to stay home and Doug take full responsibility of the finances. It was a hard decision but we chose to go forward. The adoption fell through but the seeds were planted. When our secon
